Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday! Today was a great day as we got right back into the swing of things here in first grade. All students were excited as they came back into the classroom this morning. We started off with our language arts centers, where we are learning new spelling words and sight words. This week we are working on contractions!
Today we took some time to share what we did over our vacations. Everyone agreed (including me!) that being able to relax and sleep in was terrific. But, we are all ready to get back to work and excited for all the new experiences 2011 will bring!
