We are currently listening to The Mouse and The Motorcycle, by Beverly Cleary, for our class read-aloud. This book is very exciting and has kept us wondering with every turning page. Ralph is the main character in the story and he LOVES adventure. He lives in a mouse hole in room 215 of an old, worn down hotel. It is here in the hotel that he meets Keith, a young boy with a toy motorcycle. Ralph dreams of riding the motorcycle, and feeling the excitement of speed, and the wind in his whiskers. Soon his dream comes true! Ask your child to tell you more about Ralph and his adventure with the motorcycle. He has a lot of fun, but also gets into some trouble too!

It's a great resource for kids. You can find lots of interesting information about Beverly Cleary and how she became an author. You can also find out more information about all of her different books, "meet the characters" (like Ralph S. Mouse and Ramona Quimby), and even play fun games. Check it out!
