Math Boxes

Each day the students work at "Math Box" stations. In the math boxes their are games and activities that go a long with our math unit. At the beginning of the year all the math boxes were the same, but now there are different activities in each box that work on different skills we are learning. We usually rotate through one or two math boxes a day after a math mini-lesson.

This month we will focus more on graphing skills, counting to 50, skip counting by 10's, and addition and beginning subtraction. The math boxes help keep math fun, while still providing the extra practice that first graders need with these foundational skills.
