Retelling stories

One of the reading comprehension strategies that we have been working hard on is retelling the stories that we read. At the beginning of the year, we were simply focusing on retelling stories in three parts, using the words "first, next, and last" and also "beginning, middle, and end". We are now able to retell stories with more detail, and have shown this through our retellings of The Bear's Toothache by David McPhail.
