We have had a few rainy days here in Maynard, but a little rain doesn't get the students in this class down. This is an opportunity for students to pick from a variety of materials from our math and writing centers, and use these materials in any ways they choose. This week’s newsletter features pictures from indoor recess-- a great time for “choice” in our classroom!
Some students choose pattern blocks and wooden blocks:
And other students choose coloring materials from the writing center to draw pictures and write stories:
But all of the students have fun during indoor recess
and they are learning and discovering at the same time!
