We are constantly building a sense of community in our classroom. Last week we read the book The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. This is a great story to reinforce the importance of sharing and friendship. After reading the book we talked with each other about why the Rainbow Fish was sad and lonely at the beginning of the book, and why he was happy and content with his new friends at the end of the story. Sharing was the main theme in this book. Here are them main concepts we covered during this lesson:
Sharing
Giving to others
Friendship
Kindness
We even got a chance to make our own rainbow fish, glitter and all!
